Fin regeneration

Adult zebrafish are able to completely regenerate their fins. Experiments on fin regeneration can be used to learn about stem cells, control of growth, and the process of regeneration.

A good review to provide background for this experiment is

This protocol is partially based on Fields, et al. (2009) Zebrafish 6: 145-160
